Byrne & Company is a California Board of Accountancy-licensed and PCAOB-registered public accounting firm that provides both audit and advisory services, specializing in performing PCAOB broker-dealer audits and providing guidance to firms that perform PCAOB audits. Byrne & Company’s President has more than 35 years of professional experience that includes financial statement audits under both PCAOB and AICPA auditing standards. The Company’s President worked at the PCAOB in the inspections division for more than a dozen years including eight years in the broker-dealer inspection program. As a result, the Company is uniquely positioned and qualified to perform broker-dealer audits and help other firms who audit broker-dealers and issuers. Assistance to other firms includes engagement quality review services, practice monitoring reviews of completed audits and systems of quality management, implementation of new standards (i.e. QC1000), responses to SEC or PCAOB enforcement orders, inspection preparation and guidance, and training. The Company also assists firms with private company audits under AICPA standards.
